Russian Philharmonic in AAPRO
Since October 2010 Moscow City Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonic” is member of Alliance of Asia-Pacific Region Orchestras – AAPRO. Gayane Shiladzhyan, Chief Executive Officer of the orchestra, is board member of AAPRO representing Russia.
Devoted to serving the interests and advocacy of orchestras and ensembles in Asia Pacific region, the Alliance of Asia-Pacific Region Orchestras was founded in 1996 by Mr Naomoto Okayama. Since then, it has contributed enormously to enhancing exchanges among its members, raising professional standards and increasing classical music audiences in the region. The AAPRO is a creative platform for its member orchestras to exchange with their peers around the world.
AAPRO unites representatives of major Asia-Pacific Region symphony orchestras, concert managers, chief executive officers from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Russia, Israel, India, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao.
Since foundation of AAPRO 7 conferences-summits were held. The upcoming 8th summit will be on September 8-11, 2011 in Moscow. Moscow City Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonic” will host it.
Since 2008 till present moment Madame Guo Shan is Chairwoman of the Alliance of Asia-Pacific Region Orchestras and President of China Symphony Development Foundation.
