Tango – dance of life and death, of love and hatred.
Tango appeared in Argentina, it combined Negro and Spanish melodies of habanera and milonga. It came to Europe at the very beginning of the XX century, transforming, gaining European features, passed through ups and downs, and finally won all hearts all over the world. Neither time, nor modern dances – nothing could stop its impressive sweep. Tango is not only a dance, tango is unquenched love and passion.
Tango still agitates, excites, heats blood, it is danced and listened to… Tango is walking triumphantly all around the planet.
People’s Artist of Russia Dmitry Pevtsov – theatre and cinema actor will sing several popular tangos.
Yury Medyanik – graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory, artistic director of the “Emotion-orchestra” ensemble, prize-winner of several International competitions. At the concert the musician will play three instruments – bandoneon, accordion, and violin.
This time the orchestra will be conducted by remarkable jazz musician – Sergey Zhilin. It’s not coincidentally as it was Sergey Zhilin who was musical director of popular TV program “Dancing with Stars”. And like nobody else he understands and feels the variety of dancing music styles of the XX century.
